I found an old Gold mine near where I live

And I was wondering who I would need to talk to, to get permission to go metal detecting in the woods and land behind this subdivision as shown in the picture. I am in Georgia and all land is either privately owned or state owned ( I think) so I don't know who to get in touch with. Anyone have any ideas on who I need to talk to?

Wake up go to the county recorder's office , find out who own's the land , ask them.

You should be able to find out who owns the land by visiting your county tax assessor's website. I believe all counties in Georgia have this available now. Good luck and be safe!
