Detector(s) used
Eagle II SL90/Eagle Spectrum/TF-900
Last Wednesday morning a good friend of mine was in town on business and dropped by to see me.
I hadn't seen him in some time and was delighted that he stopped by.

It didn't take us long to get around to talking about treasure hunting. ;D
The subject of gold came up and I admitted that the only gold I had, was the jewelry I was wearing.
He asked, "You don't have any gold nuggets?". And I replied no.
He then said he would send me one when he got back home.

When I got home this evening, there was a letter from my friend.
There was a nice note inside, plus these......

Wow, what an awesome gift!

I just wanted to share with you the nice thing that my friend did for me.
Thanks for looking,

Whilst my good friend of 38 years has never given me anything like that, he has told me that if anyone ever says anything bad behind my back and I don't hear them, look out! He is Irish and a former marine and will stand up for me, no matter what. Now that's what friendship is all about.....NGE

I assume your friend would not be sending you his only gold nuggets.... He found them himself?? Using a detector?? Sluce or dredge or pan?? In what state?? I am sure there is a story here??? I agree that the friendship is the Greatest part of the gift, and both the gift and giver are Awesome. However, he is your friend and your gift. Please give us the gift of details so I can get my heart to slow down :o

Thanks for sharing. I'm still looking for my first nugget. I guess I have to go out west or spend more time looking. HH, Ralph

Nope, I'm pretty sure he has more.
He did find them himself, with a detector.
I don't know which detector he was using at the time, I was not with him.

The smaller nugget was found in CO, the larger one in AZ. :)
If there is a story...it would be his to tell, not mine.

We have been friends for about 25 or 26 years. He has been very helpfull to me throughout the years.
Don't feel bad Ralph....I haven't found my first gold nugget yet either.
