I FOUND MY HOLY GRAIL TODAY, TRULY A GOOD FRIDAY

Hi everybody,

I received my new 12.5 Excelerator coil today and of course had to test it out. Well, long story short I found my first Eagle Breast plate. It's in great condition also. Also found a pulled mini, brass buckles, iron relics andsome modern clad. This coil is awesome and now ill need to re-hit all my favorite spots.

Wow, nice finds. I've been thinking about getting another coil for my DFX. A lot of the good places around here have been hunted to death. Had you hunted that site before and missed those finds? How much more performance is that Excelerator coil getting for you? It is one of the ones I have been considering.

Mike, I have been using the stock 10.5 coil with pretty good results but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I only used this coil (12.5) yesterday but love the amount of area I can sweep. I don't feel like I'm missing gaps anywhere. As far as depth? The Eagle Breastplate was about 7-8 inches down. My 10.5 would have hit it but I more then likely would have not passed over it. This coil gives me a much better id of what is deeper. I attached a photo of how they claim the signal is. I believe it. PM me in about 2 weeks and ill know for sure. The plate was found in a new area so I can't say for sure if I would have missed it. I have a total of four coils ranging from 5 to 18.5 inches. I change them depending on the area/trash/etc. I will be using the new coil as my primary hunt coil. In one use it already paid for itself. Although I would never sell the Breastplate. Let me know what you go with.
