Metal Detecting
What I thought was a 2 Buffalo and 2 wheatie was exciting because it was in a small closed off area that I have walk-through and metal detected over 50 times but now I’m using my 6 inch and go in slow. 1937 buff,1935 Buff, 1936 Wheatie and a crusty wheat

Boy was I wrong the signals kept come
1912 V nickel 1936 Buff
Unknown Buff
1936 Buff
1935 D wheat
and a 1937 wheat. Now I would have sworn this was a War nickel but it’s a 1963 clad which still made me my nickel trifecta today. IMG_0145.webp Yes the hole got bigger. Guys this is crazy when you walk into the fort you have a wall on your left and about 2 feet on your right eye bushes and trees and then you get out in the open I have metal detected walking in there and walking out of there at least 50 times and I’m not exaggerating. Using my 6 inch coil on my 800 tweaking up some advanced tones with the speed recovery of four I hot two buffaloes and two Wheaties.

Just goes to show how long v nickels were in circulation for after they were discontinued. I’ve snagged on in a spill with a fifties wheat

Great haul - congrats !
