i found this ring in java

whilst i was living in south east asia...........
we were on one of the 1000 islands in the java sea.
i was snorkling and i found this ring on the sea bed, on the coral reef.
found it in the 1980's, its NOT magnetic, looks like gold, weighs approx 10g, no hall mark
possible hand cast, not sure on its age

any help would be nice :-)

ancient phoenicain sailors --often went to the "spice" islands after spices * spices were worth their weight in gold in the days of old ---baal was one of the 3 pagan gods of the phoenicains * he was shown as a bull's head -- in the bible it speaks of the jewish folks building a golden calf and worshipping "baal" when moses was up in the mountions getting the 10 commandments *

seafarers of old as a general rule were highly religious due to the great hazards they faced --even the much later spanish treasure fleet vessels had "special religious" names to bless them and try to protect them from harm.
