I got nothing today

Thats the end result in a hunt today unless you count 1 chip of flint I saw. The creek is too full from all of the rain and the water muddy. I went walking through the woods and too many leaves on the ground. I did however see 3 young cyote pups playing with a chipmunk they had caught. That was kinda cool to watch. But nothing else. Just giving a hunting report. I hope others are having better luck.

as soon as supper is done, I think I'll go find nothing too. But it's time for a walk on the creek. I couldn't even cross it 3 days ago, hope it's gone down now.

I am sooo sick of the rain and muddy waters.

Cant find nothing in muddy water. It was 74 when I left the house an hour later I was dripping in sweat. Must of got hot quick. As soon as the water goes down I will check that sand bar where I found my last good knife and pottery. I wasnt dressed to swim with long pants and boots. I just thought seeing the posting is slow lately it was nice to hear some hunting reports even if it isnt a good one.
One good thing is they are cutting the corn now. So maybe I will get to walk a field soon.

They have been cutting corn here and have already disk and rowed the fields again, but we are getting daily down pours. I don't mind the rain, I think of all the artifacts that are getting washed for someone to find

I haven't even thought about huntin' in awhile....been so busy with work and dodging showers every day, but I am glad you got out Rock. All this rain!..It is beginning to seem like groundhog day, or maybe the back of a shampoo bottle=wash, rinse, and repeat...I am running out of dry shoes to wear.

I did however study the high water flow of the current while being there. I could see the patterns of the water flow so if and when the water goes back down I will know where to look. Hope somebody gets to do a hunt soon with results, rock

Finding nothing much is still better than sitting at home, or worse, working.

Rains have slowed here and my creek has been clear all week, I have been able to spend about an hour a day in there without anything either until today when I went upstream and moved a sandbar around a bit and found a 2" shard...hoping to get some mowing in and then go spend more time on that sand bar tomorrow.

Yeah I checked the weather and maybe next week I can hit the gravel bars in the creek. Water should be clear by then if no other rains come. I mowed today and boy the grass was thick.
