I guess CWR's can pay off (Updated w/ pic)
I have been doing this game for about a year and to my knowledge I have never pulled any silver from CWR's of halves. Best I have found was a clad proof. In fact, I pretty much gave up on asking for halves and just focused on boxes because tellers would always say they don't have any or if they did have a few they were all clad. Well, yesterday I picked up my weekly boxes of halves and the teller says she has $390 in halves that someone brought it and would I like those too. My first thought was, "Great, someone is using my pickup bank as a dump bank now". But remembering what others on this forum say about always taking all halves the bank has as you just never know, I said "Sure, I will take them all!". Got home and started searching the CWR's, and third roll I found a '68. Now I'm thinking either a dumper doesn't know about 40%'s, or somebody really did just bring in that many halves they had sitting around.
So I've gone through $260 of the CWR's and have found 9 40%'s. I saved the rest for the wife to open and she hasn't gotten around to it yet, so I will update when she does. The boxes were pretty weak...Box 1 contained (1) '69 and a 2003 clad proof, Box 2 contained (1) '67 and (2) '68's.
Update
The remaining cwr's contained 5 more 40%'s. Total for this week: (18) 40%'s. A little disappointed I didn't find any 90%'s this week, but still much better than a skunk.
