I cleaned out my room. I have bags of unsearch stuff, cases of things I had not gone through in a while just wanted to get rid of some stuff. Added a 14 K ring. There is Sterling in there, gold filled, I know for a fact I have more gold in it. Not to mention the stuff I never even bother going through. Over 250 views. Over 40 watchers. And it ends tomorrow. I'm sure whoever wins will be pretty pleased. I just don't have the time to go through it all I had so many bags of random stuff sitting around and in the back of my car and on my bed. Whoever gets it ought to be happy!

One person did email me and said I don't believe there's any other gold in there because you have other gold items for sale. That they would not be bidding. All I said was, well I'm sorry you're going to miss out have a good day. Lol. I don't even know what else to say!

Of course though like an idiot I forgot we're having a yard sale in our community here in three weeks. I probably could've made a killing just setting it out on the table and selling stuff for dollar piece. I didn't even think about it.

Also my wife made me clean out the garage tonight and I found maybe another 5-6 pounds of jewelry out there as well.

When I looked in the mirror tonight I saw a reflection of a hoarder!! :)

See, I know that every last item in my many tens of lbs of costume jewelry is costume. From what you said there's a decent amount of good stuff in this lot, and I have considered "seeding" a medium flat rate lot with some sterling and a little gold, but I can't decide on a "fair" amount of pm's. It's probably because it's difficult for me to read a listing like yours and believe that there's good stuff in the lot beyond what's stated explicitly, but I believe you, fwiw. I think this is a fun idea anyway, watching to see how the auction goes.

I have a 14k diamond ring I'm adding. Size is a .... I don't have any reason to lie. I set on there that I had a good year on my listing and I want someone else to do the same. I don't really care what the packet sells for somebody's going to get a diamond ring and a gold ring and some other stuff that I know is in there but I'm not saying and then there's other stuff that is broken and repairs are needed.. I'm not saying that if it sells for $3000 you're going to get your money back but no one else besides on this forum knows that I'm putting a diamond ring in the lot as well. I didn't pay very much for it but I'm sure it will make somebody else's day. Everybody can use a good thing happened to them once in a while. And no matter what I put in it it's not going to break me. So I can ruin me. If it make somebody else happy then it's well worth it. I probably won't do another one of these jewelry lots like this until the end of this year. Or in 2016. Seeding it maybe, but there still a lot of stuff unchecked so who knows.

I hope someday I'm in a position to pay it forward like this, because you're right, you are totally going to make someone's day!!!

Maybe hopefully. There seems to be a lot of grumpy people on eBay though! One guy is sending back a ring that was sterling silver and I said it weighed 12.4 g and it weighs 12 g on his scale and so he wants to send it back. Crazy! Have had more returns this month and I have all of last year for tiny little picky things. One doesn't fit, one doesn't look right on her skin color. Not that I'm paying for her to return it but excuses are crazy. Oh well life is good have a good day!

Your auctions look great and you have a lot of different stuffs!
Good luck with everything and much success!

Hey Kid, you beat me to it. I have that 200 pounds of jewelry to sell. Only i am going through every single piece. Right in the middle of the tub I came across a 20-25 pound ball of tangled chains. Boy will I have fun with that.

You want to buy some real nice costume from me. You can start hoarding again and have something for that yard sale.

good luck on that auction. the high bidder right now ($222.50) only has 4 feedback points, watch out.

Let us know how this turns out. I've often been leery of selling a large lot like that for fear of someone cherry picking it and then returning it minus the good stuff.

Beachkid is safe...I won't return the box! LOL! I tried to avoid buying jewelry jars at Goodwill and then he went and posted this! I had to have it just so I could have fun searching! I'm sure Beachkid won't mind me posting any great stuff I find! If it turns out really good, I will probably have to fight harder for the next jewelry lot he lists!

Little over 24 bucks a pound. Nice

Thanks Beachkid! The lot is awesome! The 24" 14k gold rope necklace makes it even better! I keep going back through the box and finding more gold, silver, and nice gold-filled pieces. When the pictures were taken, I had found 14 grams of 14k, 100+ grams of Sterling, and about 25g of gold-filled. I have found more since the pic were taken. I will have more competition for your next lot of you ever do another one!

Nice! So you broke even(+) just on the 14k alone. Don't forget, it doesn't always have to be gold or silver to be worth something when it comes to jewelry. That brooch with the Rhinestones with Aurora Borealis crystals (pictured below) could be worth a few bucks depending on the signature or even if unsigned, the construction of it gives clues to the maker sometimes. I'm curious if it is a signed piece?

PS- I found a couple nice pieces of costume today. 2- .50 necklaces that should fetch me $200+, only precious metals are the sterling clasps on them.

Diggumup, that piece is signed. Sherman! But the clasp is broken off:

Funny thing about that piece is I thought it was broken when I looked at the way it was made. It is not flat, but almost has parts juxtaposed against each other. I had thrown it back into the box until you asked was it signed. I might list it still with a Weiss brooch or two. Thanks for pointing it out!
