My wife and I went to our local supermarket, and on the way back to the car, my wife spotted a wedding ring lying in the parking lot. It looks like copper but has a sorta rosie tint to it. My question is has anybody ever seen a copper wedding ring before? If it isn't copper, what could it be? Red brass? There are no markings on it at all except scratches.

I would do a quick stop at the jewelry store and have them test it, that will settle the question of what it is, and they will do it for free..or even a pawn shop.

It could be either, looks a little thick for copper pipe in the second set of picture. but I do see a seam? If it is gold and not marked, which is very rare, then that may date the gold ring to 1907 or before. Good Luck and settle this mystery...

It has been returned to the rightful owner, and they were pretty thrilled to get it back. I guess I will never really know for sure, but they do.

Nice job on the return Creskol. Honorable mention from me also. Not many hobbyists who would try to return a ring with absolutely no information to go on.

Thank you, trezurehunter.. I appreciated the nod.
