I was searching half dollars, and found this. It is a 1983 with 1960-1980 stamped on it. Anybody know what it is?

Sorry, this camera is an iPod. It has the 1960 above the "In God" and the 1980 over "Trust"

Not quite, it is the anniversary of Kennedy's election. His assassination was in 1963, not 1960

Seems like this coin was dual purpose...1960-1980 may signify the 20 year anniversary of the election but the choice of the coin date at 1983 seems to be signifying the 20 year anniversary of death as-well.

They were struck on any half, not just 1983s.
