Not much detail. I’d guess 1930 ish because the one screw showing appears not to have a slot but instead a Phillips or Allen head.

the bolt cocking knob looks like a 1903 Springfield, however the rest doesn't look right.
Also the trigger and guard do not ring any bells, so to speak

I don't think it a gun part.
Reminds me more of a window latch rods the teacher would use to open and close those high windows in the class room.

I was thinking 22. That round thing in the breech does not line up with the screw looking thing.

Well, you have a "bolt-action" rifle bolt,
but the lower item might not be related,
altho it does look like a trigger mechanism

Anyone remember those Toy training rifles with wood stock, flat stamped trigger? Anyway the screw going thru the bolt is bubba bling.

Good find but I have seen those toy rifles before also. I couldn't remember the name of them until I saw Dan's post.

Great tag teaming there on the ID by nagant and DanMcG.....One of the many reasons why the "What Is It?" forum is and remains so awesome.

Funny thing is, I was just looking at one of these just in the last week at an antique store.

Similar bolt same screw and trigger.

Yep, this is exactly what I was thinking. I am old enough to have had one. Considering the thin metal is still intact, though heavily rusted, I would put it somewhere around the late 60's to early 70's.
