would anyone know if it is a good machine i got all paperwork with it and receipt it was bought new for $279.00in july 2005 and the person never used it
Welcome to Tnet Tim.Tesoro has a good reputation so I,d think you did OK.Now get it out of the box and start learning how to use it and find some stuff.

It is a fantastic machine. They have a frequency shift that stops interference from high electrical lines and other detectors. That was back in the day. I have dug a ton with mine and still kep that old machine in the back of my truck in case I want to check a site out. I have hunted some sites almost out going back with an at pro or Fisher and maybe I missed a little but not much. Its a beep machine that is easy to tune and hits deep. It pinpoints better than any machine I have.

I have the older Conquistador with the frequency switch on the bottom. It is a wonderful detector. You got a steal! Congratulations!

Wow!

Now that's a super deal.

Good mercy I am green with envy--ha,ha,ha.

That's the same one I had about 6 8 years ago. It was stolen from my brothers cabin. I had fun with it in northern AZ. Good buy.

Is the picture of your detector before or after you took it for a spin?
