My wife and I started this season mid march, as soon as we could crack the ground here in Michigan. First day was 4 memorial cents and near frostbite. These pics are the pile from 3-15 to 6-01-07. I think we are doing Ok :O) If I remember the count, its around 70 bucks. A few rows of quarters, a few rows of dimes, a few rows of nickels, a Susan B, a Sacagawea and about ten rows of half eaten pennies. I think we are around 9 rings this year too. Ill try a pic of them later. Id love to see other people's totals too, see how everyone is doing for comparison. Thanks for looking. HH dave.

Don't have a pic because I cash my clad in every month but here are my totals since January 1st. (I keep track on an excel spreadsheet).

Dollars 3
Halves 0
Quarters 273
Dimes 265
Nickels 63
Pennies 546

Silver coins 11
Rings 8 rings

Total coins: 1150
Total Value: $106.36

At this rate it should only take about 4 years to pay off my DFX

looks good to me--I'd be quite happy to have it

I can believe the pennies got eaten alive.

Look at the condition of the Sac and Susan! The Sac especially....it is only a few years old but looks like it is 50!

What is more important than the coins is the amount of time spent together having fun!! Congrats on some great totals for beginning!!

Well your doing something right. I'd say your ready for a tumbler so you can clean and spend them!! ;D

Looks like you could pile up some impressive clad numbers for the year. I typically don't compile my clad totals until the end of the year. I bet I have about $15 in clad for the year. ::) My area is not good for clad and I typically don't clad hunt.... But I do have over 600 wheat pennies, 50+ silver coins and about a dozen old nickels/IH's. ;D

CLAD = SILVER

$70 = 50 Mercury dime + 4 Standing liberty quarters + 2 Walking liberty halves.

NICE JOB!

Id love to find more older coins. We've found a standing liberty quarter <1917>, a few Buffalo's, barber dime <1900 if I remember right>>Two walkers 45, 47. Also, Whites bought this story and sent me 200 bucks! lol. I posted the link on another thread but...http://www.whiteselectronics.com/tell/story/2007-july-davidchip.php. I ordered the new 12 inch coil with the voucher. I can hardly stand waiting for it to arrive!. We have some good clad spots here but, id sure trade a few for some of you folk's older finds. Hh dave.

Dave,

Wow I"v been Detecting for 35 yrs. I"m impressed.

Thats a nice pile of clad! Your doing great! I was saving mine up. But recently cashed in a bunch to buy a new coil for my detector and a silver roman coin. It adds up.

Way to make the money! HH

I am In Mich To and your doing better then I am. I have gotten a silver Rosie and a 1945 Quarter.

Dave,
If you have found a dated SLQ, some walkers and a barber you are doing good. Each area is unique in what it will give. We all take what we can get. ;D Keep at it and you will come across some hot spots....

That's cool about the white's story. :)
