I know what it is but what's it made of? please help

Hi to all,
I don't usually post to much because most of my finds are clad but today I found a "Virgin Mary piece". I know what it is, but I'd like to know what is is made of. The inscription on the back is in Spanish and I don't know enough Spanish to translate. I believe it reads "GM51 Plata Fina oro IN 14K Mex". Please take a look at the pictures and give me an idea. The "Virgin Mary" appears to be silver and the outer shawl or cloak appears to be gold. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Plata is Spanish for silver, and oro is Spanish for gold, so looks like you have one heck of a find! :thumbsup:

Well, FCC,

Jorge is correct... I've got to edit my post on this...
The virgin is silver and the cape is 14k gold.
I've got a small virgin ring made in a similar fashion.

Still, probably not very valuable, but a good find...

If you beeped it, your machine would not let a better target pass by.
