I hit a sale a Church puts on for Haiti relief. It has always been good to me. This year was no exception. I was about number 15 in line and headed straight to the Jewelry room. I had to move extremely fast and was grabbing things left and right. Everything was priced around $0.50 - $5.00 but most of what I bought was around a dollar. The first photo is all sterling. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1493519090.272828.jpg. included in the bunch were some nice signed turquoise pieces. Here is all the gold. The chain, the bangle and charm holder are gold filled but the rest is either 10 karat or 14 karat including the charms. I got to say church sales are my most favorite places to shop!

Complete opposite here.. I dread going to one, never find anything worthwhile but always stop because you just never know....

I've got a church run thrift store nearby. Most the time there's nothing good, but yesterday I picked up a pair of James Avery earrings there for $5.00. When ever they get gold jewelry it's sold at spot prices.

Curious... what are you guys doing with this jewelry you buy? I'm confused by these garage sale threads.

Selling. I primarily use these purchases to fund my personal slush fund for family travel and watch collecting.

Nice compass and pouch. I like old Army stuff.

Great finds JD. We do really well at church sales here in Ct.

I love church sales! Every chance I get I go to them. Never fails I find something worth buying.

It's like detecting...for beginners!

More like detecting for frustrated detectorist tired of finding pull tabs iron and junk after hours of swinging . Lol.

If you are listing these on ebay I would be careful on how you list a few of the Native American pieces. The dangle earrings are all QTC pieces which are not Native. Ebay will pull them off if they catch it. The red coral necklace may have a hand made chain which should carry a $100-200 premium depending on if its signed.

Very good. :notworthy:

Not much jewelry around here at the church sales, if they have it, they've normally checked it over pretty well, but I still luck into it once in awhile.

You've got to be quick though.

That's why I don't do much jewelry. I like to think im pretty quick - but I ain't got nothing on some of those old ladies.
