Hey everyone! i found a new bottle dump today, it was all 20th century stuff but i did pull out a few cool soda bottles and i love soda bottles lol, especially local ones which a few of them are. I got 2 Pal Ade bottles, a Berkshire Beverage bottle, Mission Beverages, a Nesbitt's of California, and a Mama's size Dad's Root Beer bottle. I also found an old toy car which is pretty sweet. Thanks for looking, Sarah :)

Those are cool bottles but the car is the bomb! Nice find

Great finds (especially that toy racer) sfox.

Good stuff, is there a town named on the back of the Mission?

Cool ! I have a 1946 7 FL. oz. Mission from Tamaqua PA

Hey Sarah,

That is a great racer. Shades of Barney Oldfield, eh.

Barney Oldfield

Are you gonna let those ACL's sit for a month before trying to clean them? The dirt was sure kind to most of them.

Thanks, I have some Missions that are local to me here in North Jersey...

I'm not real "up" on Coke collectables, but it's a 75th Anniversary Bottle.
I guessing 75th anniversary of Harrisburg PA's bottling in particular,
Not 75 years of coca cola :dontknow:

Hey Surf, thanks, the racer is really sweet especially since it's a Hubley. Do you have any cleaning tips? I rinsed them off and washed the insides of the bottles but I don't want to wash off the label and that's happened to me in the past.

Hey Sarah,

I'd let the ACL's sit for at least a month. I'm lousy at cleaning, but have had some success making a paste of Barkeeper's Friend, and lightly finger rubbing the rusty stains, or discolored paint. Stopping the process, if paint is coming off. I don't have the patience for the Q-tip treatment.

I useta bring home the ACL ER cases, but no longer do. As each year passes, more ACL's paint is disintegrating... I recycled a bucket or 2 of too-far-gone sodas, and assorted old shards recently in a garage purge. I know there's more hiding in that far corner.
