I Love This Hobby!! **First Clean Pic Added**

OK, so I have not been Metal Detecting all that long, and I do not get to go out very often. Well, I had gotten a new MD for Christmas and then not too long after I found a Civil War button. It was filthy, but I spent about 2 weeks carefully cleaning it up! I loved it.

Well, I had been out a few times, did not find too much. Well I decided to go out for a little bit today and I found this out in the woods...

I do not care if it is made out of aluminum! It is gonna keep me busy for the next few weeks just cleaning it up. Unfortunately in my excitement, I accidently pulled off the part that opens and closes. Regardless, I am going to have a LOT of fun just cleaning it. That is one of my favorite things about this hobby. (second only to actually finding it!)

Well, unfortunately both the front and back pieces came off. But, It allowed me to soak them both in Olive Oil for the night. Then I carefully used a toothpick to clean off everything. To my surprise, it cleanup up real nice. Again, the inside was real bad but it looks nice
