Oh and yes I do realize it's missing a bolt or something like that to keep the interior parts in place but that's how I recieved the helmet awhile back. I never thought to see what exactly I had but now that I'm doing that with my other helmet, a Swiss M18 of an unknown variant at this time, I decided I should do the same with this helmet because of all of the wonderfully helpful and intelligent people on this website. Thank you for any help figuring this out

It very well could be British and WW2, I personally have no idea since I'm not very familiar with WW1 related things and I'm just going off of what I was told by the person who gave me this awhile back. They said it was a WW1 Doughboy helmet but I personally have no idea

more likely WW2 British

I don't have a reference book or online source to back up my opinion. I'm going off the (a) condition, (b) the ink or painted stamp on the inside, (c) the liner, and (d) the color scheme (which appears on my computer to be a sandy tan color, which would lead me to believe that if it's WW2, it could be from the North African theater)

That is very helpful, thank you very much! If anyone can help to narrow this down even further then I would greatly appreciate that as well
