Possibly some type of a cotter pin missing the snap ring collar? Farm or field find?

TnMountains

a soldering iron tip looks right also.

It is a house site find.

Will,
It has the look of a home made plumb bob,
as Brandon suggested.

Curtain weights are from the size of a nickel to a dollar,
they are round and flat with slots so they can be sewn through like buttons.
