I NEED SERIOUS HELP - Lot's of whats-its

I hit the old property with the stone chimney again today, but most of these finds were lower on the hill where another house once sat alongside a wagon path. There are four huge old oaks right next to it.
Nothing too exciting, but any help on these whats-its would be greatly appreciated. :thumbsup:
The decorative piece I currently have listed in the "what is it" section. Colonial or Victorian? :dontknow:
Thanks for looking.

Oh yeah, I detected in the woods for a few hours and come out with "0" ticks. Yeah Baby! :hello2: :tongue3:

Re: I NEED SERIOUS HELP - Lot's of whats-its

Doug, you always find great items. Here is a little information on the 120th Inf Reg (NC Army National Guard) crest and a clor picture of it. It's Post 1928, which was the approval year;
The 120th Infantry Regiment ("Third North Carolina”) is an infantry regiment of the United States Army National Guard.
The unit is an organic element of the 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team of the North Carolina Army National Guard. Currently, 1st Battalion is the only active battalion in the Regiment and is organized as a combined arms battalion under the Brigade Unit of Action table of organization and equipment.
Distinctive Unit Insignia
The 120th Infantry Regiment's distinctive unit insignia, approved on 28 June 1928, consists of a gold metal and enamel device 1 5/32 inches (2.94 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned azure, in pale a prickly pear cactus and the entrance to the canal tunnel over the St. Quentin Canal. Attached below the shield is a blue scroll inscribed "VIRTUS INCENDIT VIRES" in gold.
The shield is blue for infantry. The cactus represents service on the Mexican border as the 3rd Infantry, North Carolina National Guard. The tunnel symbolizes the mouth of the tunnel in the Hindenburg Line at Bellicourt, France, captured by the 120th Infantry on 29 September 1918.

Re: I NEED SERIOUS HELP - Lot's of whats-its

HI M.M

It looks like you have lots of replies to your ?????'s so here are some of mine. The ornate metal piece is a "long style" chain purce. The wrench is a buggy wrench with the handle missing. This type of wrench came in several sizes with a tuberlar steel handle, that sliped over the wrench for more leverage. In the pix after the pennies is a gas fitting with barbed end for a rubber hose. the other item is a cap to cover the end of an axle for a small toy wagon or tricycle ????
