Both are good detectors. The Dual Field is probably the better of the two for depth and sensitivity.

I have both. Do not use the sand hark much. It ha both the 8 and 7 inch coils.
The Dual Field is a monster for depth, but with the 12 inch coil, not one you
would want to use just any where, best in water with out much junk and deep
targets.
