Yesterday I found a 1916 and 1919 mercury dimes and an off center in one box yesterday Woot!


Now for my question ? what is the average amount of war nickels do you get in a box and what was the most in one box??

what is the average amount of silver dimes do you get from a box and what was the most in one box??

I get 3 war nickels per box usually and the most in one box is 6 oh and ive found 2 V nickels this year !

for dimes 2-3 per box .the most in one box 9 ! I also find a good amount of mercs is that unique ?

your averages are about 4-5x better than mine. way to go! I average roughly 3 war nickels every 4 nickel boxes as well as 3 silver dimes every 4-5 boxes. you must be in a good area in N. Massachusetts and S. New Hampshire.

My nickels are 1 per box. Dimes however have been 2.5 per box. Halves Are 3 per box average

Damg im seeing some sweet avg on dimes and nickles-
For me dimes where avg 1-1/12 a bix then they just stopped not to mention the bombardment with new 2013- havent given them a re-go just yet
Halves im way under 1 per box id say im closer to 1 every 3 boxes- and im not including my 92 box skunk streak in those half avg-

Nickels: .67 per box

I do primarily bags and rarely do boxes, and these are some numbers from memory so they could be off a little, but they should be close.

I average about 3 war nickels every $400 searched (or 0.75/box). Best box/bag was a partial box (30-40 rolls) a few years back with around 100 war nickels in it if memory serves. Had a $100 bag a few weeks ago with 9 or 10 war nickels in it.

I average about 3 silver dimes every $500 searched (or 1.5/box). Best box/bag was earlier this year when I got around 60 silver dimes in $500 worth. Had a similar bag a few years back with 52.

I usually get at least 1 war nickel per box, and the most I have found in a box is 3.

I have terrible luck with dime boxes. Well under 1 per 2-3 boxes searched.

Nickels on the other hand I usually get 1-2 war nickels per box with 1 buffalo per 2 boxes and one proof per 10-15 boxes.

My 2 best nickel boxes had 4 wars each; my favorite box had a war, a buffalo, a two tailed nickel, and a 1994-S proof.

I also got a two ender box (both war nickels) and that was it.
