That's why you should always take loose halves too. I find keepers all the time in loose halves.

Awesome score, I have never gotten a 90% like that from loose in teller tray, (several 40%'ers)... I see a post like this, and I wonder to myself how on earth it is even possible for anyone to have no clue about a "silver" coin... Let alone a bank teller. It is just crazy to me, but yet it is happening every day, all over.

I walked into a chase branch today, I asked for halves. The teller said," I got $9 worth" She held it up and I could see it was nearly all SILVER! I handed her $9 in bills and she handed me:

6 x 1964 D
11 x 1966
1 x 1990 P

3.8 oz of silver for $8.5, she had no idea of what she had in her hand!
