I still don't believe it. My best day ever.
I went back to the lake to hunt an old swimming area. After about an hour of finding sinkers and clad coins I got a solid nickel signal and dug this up.
Well, I thought that was a cute little plastic ring and put it in my pouch. I rescanned the hole and zeroed in on the nickel signal and flipped this out.
I had to go down to the water to rinse it off..... DANG, that's the best engagement ring I ever found. WOW, I had to call my wife (Georgiaflutterby) at work. Well, I was so excited that I forgot that she was supposed to go in at 10 this morning so I rescanned the hole and got another nickel signal. I scratched around with my knife and out came this.
CRAP, another gold ring. That's never happened to me before. I was really excited by now and I stood up and rescanned the hole and got a solid tin foil signal. I thought hmmmmmm, I better check that. Then out rolled this one.
This might be a record for TNet, 3 gold rings in a 8 inch circle. I still don't believe it. I stopped by the jewelry store and got them to check the engagement ring. 1/4 carat, h clarity and slightly included. He said it would retail for $1200.00 I didn't ask about the others. I did get him to straighten it where it was bent a little and tighten the diamond up and clean it.

I did have a little more luck. I found a nice arrowhead and a nice mortar.
I found several big pieces of flint. One weighs over 5 pounds, one rod and reel just about ruined, an old pair of pliers, 2 watches and lots of other goodies. I made it an all day-er and I am pooped. You all have a good one.
