Relic Hunting
I switched gears from relic hunting to coinshootin this past weekend. I headed north to Ohio to dig with my dad. We hit the same nasty ground park we always hit. the grass was nice and low so we knew we would dig some silver. This park has been hunted for years by the locals but it still gives up the coins. It is beside a steel mill and the crap that has spewed out of the smokestacks for the past hundred years has settled into the ground. Most machines struggle to get any depth and my Explorer even has a hard time but it gets the job done. Since my dad and I first hit the park 5 years ago we have dug over 200 silver coins and this weekend was no exception. Here are my finds for 2 1/2 days of non stop diggin. It sure was a blast. Thanks for looking!

Quite a great day diggin Marc, see you in a few days at the hunt. Tim

Great finds and nice silver, very nice and clean of any problems, seeing it was next to that steel mill. Could have been a bunch of chemicals in the park. Quite a few of nice finds for 2.5 days, are these the finds of yourself and your father, or only yourself?

Yup coin shooting and relic hunting is mainly what i do too. It looks like it has really produced for you this weekend! Congratulations!

Real nice haul.... Those kinds of days were common 25 years ago... In today's world, finding a single silver dime has become a challenge... It's amazing you still have places giving up that much silver... Once again, proves no place is ever cleaned out !!!

Congrats and good luck with getting the rest of it out of that park !!!
