I think i may have stumbled across a battlefeild!!!!!

Today after doing some research on some civil war area near me I decided to head out and scout the area and I guess research proves to pay off..I was near where the battle of Campbell station was and some of my finds proved it today..I got permission to hunt a HUGE piece of land and Its gonna take me forever to hunt it all but I know there will be more goodies fallowed up by theis...I think I have found a Hotchkiss shell fuse,and some frags of the shell.I knw there is more out there but I was so overwhelmed by the size of the field and what I was finding so it kinda had me running around like a chicken with it head cut off...But if anyone has anymore info please feel free to comment..Thanks guys.And HH....

Thats a GREAT start! I would suggest doing a grid pattern if it is very big. Maybe someone else with more experience has some other suggestions. Have fun and looking forward to the pics!

Yow! Congrats on the permission! I think you have two fragments of different shells there. Def one is a Hotchkiss, but the other looks like a 24 pounder. CB guy could tell you . . .

Maybe someone might want to repeat the instructions for disabling the phone cameras feature of AUTOMATICALLY including GPS coordinates in pictures from the field ?
Then you will be sure of keeping this " hush hush ". It looks to me that some pics are from you car? Just trying to help, If I'M not helping ,ignore me! God bless.

Man.. I wish I could have been there. Ohh wait, I was. It is the best spot we have hunted possibly ever. I also found a few goodies one of which I cannot identify. It is a quarter sizes coin with no markings. Very rubbed down. Can anyone help?

I also found two pieces of what we think is the hotchkiss shell. The smaller one was found in the same hole where hacky found the fuse.
