This place is very small and cluttered with trash, but I see that there were still a few things left hidden away.

Those are impressive relics,
especially from a well-hunted site. They would have given strong signals unless they were very deep. Suggests earlier hunter missed spots.

The pieces are no more than two inches apart, and that spot had never been hunted. I think I was the first.

Those all brass shotgun shells are rarely found in that condition. And that's a very fancy fork!

I wasn't familiar with the rosette so I had to google it. Most sites claim it's civil war era with one saying civil war through 1880's.
