I was just about to shoot myself when...

[Nickel_Buff1935]

I didn't make it out for my planned morning hunt at the school down the street and my hunting buddy ditched me on my day off, again...

So instead of sitting home all afternoon and sulking I decided to strike out on my own!

I decided to hunt an old historic site along the Hudson River.

My first few finds made me wanna shoot myself

If only I could have found a live round...

Then this little beauty popped out of the ground and saved me!

My first ever seated dime!

It was a mixed signal, five inches down with a square nail another inch below it...

Thanx for lookin',

That is why it is important to dig all of those "iffy" signals! Great find!!! WTG!!

Congratulations on a beauty of a first. Those coins are sweet. Definitely a little tougher out this way to find.

My son ditched me yesterday - his girlfriend asked him to the Browns preseason game. Imagine that - girls and football over metal detecting!

Thanx for all the awsome replies everyone!

I'm still on the hunt for a Barber...

You will all get a kick out of this.

I dug this 1891 Seated Friday and a 1916 Merc Sunday!!!

I'm just barely missin' my first Barber

I'd run out that way if you have a spot that might be hiding a Barber or two

Actually I'd run out that way anytime regardless of the site.

You aren't far from me and I told ya I run that "old road" in your area with my Jeep

My avatar pic was shot in your backyard!

Look for a PM in the near future.

Thanx,
