I mean, after all the waiting, the cold, the snow, frozen ground, you'd think the detecting powers could have AT LEAST let me find a silver, gold, or even ring! But, noooooo!



Still, not too, too terrible. I was out! I dug! I got dirty and muddy! AND, AND, AND, I even found SOMETHING!! LOL



Even gave me a neat little welcome back from the cold.

Naw, not to terrible at all!




I even got two nice little surprises as this was a modern school ground.
Two whole wheats, only lightly toasted!

Yeah, didn't get intrinsically rich today. But, somehow, ya know, I feel pretty happy/contented.

Seriously though, I carry a bag of good luck rocks (that is what the package says anyway) hoping that it helps me when I detect!

I know, this was the first I could get anywhere in about a month! And I mean ANYwhere!

I was mostly looking for any place that wasn't a swamp from all the melting. So, probably actually hunted about 2 hours.

I'd post pics of the snow that's still on the ground and the pools of water scattered here and there that is gonna freeze again if it would make you feel better, lol. Congrats on getting in a hunt and your finds.

That said, I was ecstatic that I could ACTUALLY go somewhere! Let alone find anything!
I still had to find little pockets of "sort of dry" areas. LOL Most of the time I was just hunting sides of steep, sunny hills that had drained a bit.

Yeah, I know what you mean. You go from having to dig down a few feet, just to GET to the ground to needing scuba gear to even walk!

It was so flooded in places that when I squished over them I stuck the detector straight up in the air. So I wouldn't be tempted to dig! LOL

It'll be there when it dries out.

Still, what a wonderful feeling! Having some dirt between my gloves again!

got some strange looks at the shopping center detecting the melting snow piles. one hour no richer, hair clips and bottle caps. lucky you that you can play in the dirt already
