Hi :hello:,

It hit 30* mid-day with lots of wind; my choice was watching the Honda Classic on Golf Channel:icon_scratch:or metal detecting at low tide;now, I ask you...which would you have chosen ???:laughing7:

So off to the beach again hunting low tide "muddy flats" . Got 2 hrs. of exercise and after

finding oh, so many pennies I finally dug up a heavily tarnished ring about 8 inches down in

thick , cold mud...I loved every minute of it:icon_thumright:

Here's some pics

Thanks for looking Lorraine

p.s found the Russian coin yesterday; I am including a pic of it in this post.

Nice reward for braving the elements.

I'm with ya on what to do! It amazes me how well u get that silver cleaned up! Great close up shot and a great hunt!

Nice finds! Looks like the cold is affecting everybody !

Nice work in poor conditions. I found one of those 5 Ruble coins out at Siesta Key last year. Maybe we could trade them for Stolichnaya !

Love that silver, Lorraine ... your cranking it on in the cold weather!

Lorraine! You're a girl after my own heart. The worse the weather, the more I like it. Funny, I found a ruble coin here in St. Aug. You just never know :icon_queen:

Lorraine you are truly dedicated nice unique find.

:laughing7: only if pieroghi & golumki are served with it:headbang:

Hopefully thats a sign that the Dolphins go undefeated next year. Nice finds. Oh and the traffic sucks near the tournament. Stiil cool knowing they are crushing balls a couple miles away. Just imagine whats in those sand traps. Lol

WTG Lorraine, a Lady Pirate that's taking no prisoners . You did a wonderful job cleaning up the silver ring. I like it.

I hunt a spot that I have found foreign coins from all over the world. No idea what they are until I come home and research them.

I too, have a collection of foreign coins; I enjoy researching their origin. Some are very ornate.

Maybe if you post a few, we can help you ID them.

congrats on a nice ring Lorraine. I might try this afternoon. It will be a little colder, but less windy.

Lorraine, how to clean silver?
Hi, For heavily tarnished items, I electrolyze the item, rinse it off; place it in Tarn-X for a few minutes; rinse and scrub with baking soda using a mild brush to get all the tarnish off; repeat the Tarn-X /scrub as many times as necessary, then shine with jeweler's rouge..black chalk For mildly tarnished I just do the soaking in Tarn-X /scrubbing method Lorraine
