"Barrel" part of a copper wire terminal, would possibly have been covered in plastic or rubber. :icon_scratch: Similar to pic:

A wire connector wouldn't have the 2 slots in the side. Those slots are for the gear on the handle, key whatever it's called of the lantern so the teeth can grip the wick to raise and lower it.

Dang, VaYank, YOU are on tonight! I think the proper term is 'wick collar.' This pic is not very good, but I couldn't find one of just the actual collar showing the 2 holes where the screws push up the wick. Breezie
