Hey y’all! I found this in a coastal farm field. Working on a radio antenna and took a little walk at lunch. Found this pushed up on the edge of a row. Heavily polished. Divots on both sides. Very symmetrical. It looks like a grinder but a very unique, nice one. Has anyone seen anything like this before? The farmer told me he’s found a few things including a very nice portable mortar. He called it a molcajete.

I think you have a discoidal… but, I wonder why it’s not perfectly round…. That’s a great find
I added a few more pics. It has distinctly rounded sides but the flat sides have the faintest indentation when you run your fingers over them. Very interesting. Highly polished granite.

I love the idea of it being a chunky stone. It definitely has 2 flattish sides though. It’s got a squarish shape with 2 opposing sides that are rounded. It’s the most polished artifact I’ve ever seen.

Learn something new everyday, even when your old. I have found some in the past but never put two and two together. I really love the marble looking one. Sure its not an early ashtray.....lol
