Charl, you were right and I stand corrected. I zoomed in on those first photos and did not look like Pottery to me. It looked more like stone.

Although I suspected pottery, Grim, it was not at all easy to make a call based on the original photos. I could not tell with certainty that it was pottery until I found the auction photos.

Pointing out a member's artifact is the same as artifact seen on another site violates no rules as long as it isn't used as basis to attack a member. 👍

Thanks everyone for the info. I would agree it is the same piece shown in the auction. I'm not sure where he obtained it but when he asked my thoughts, I knew you all are the experts and would provide the best information.
