There is nothing in the picture for scale, so there is absolutely no way to identify the bullet. Without measurements, we can not give you any other information that simply "it's a bullet". I've collected bullets and cartridges most of my life, and the only thing I can tell you for sure is that it's post Civil War. It looks to be a modernish (late 1800s to now) .32 S&W or a .38 S&W/Special bullet.

Fskafish. I'm sure the bullet comment was pulling your chain because there is no way to tell how big something is laying on a flat surface with nothing to compare it with. While many times, laying a ruler or placing an object of known size ( coin, pen, bic lighter, etc.) by it helps. A bullet however is distinguished by sometimes only a couple Thousandths of an inch and a ruler may not be good enough.. The best way is to measure with calipers and list the exact size in diameter and length and weight in grains. Hope this helps.

No i understand thank u, i dont have calipers it is rather small and havent dug one like it before. And it is half inch long and quarter inch across the bottom. Also i see that u are from lanesville, i live in new washington.
