Any help identifying this item would be greatly appreciated, a Google search didn't seem to come up with much.

Many Thanks,

Bruce

Welcome.... :hello:

Any marks on the bottom? Stamps, etc.?

The bottom has a felt covering, I guess I could remove it if necessary. I ran my thumb over the felt and couldn't feel any indentations underneath.

I'm including additional photos......

Thank you so much for the feedback.

I forgot to mention, the pot appears to be cast marble and is 9" W X 8 1/2" H, with a weight of 13 lbs. 8 oz.

Cool piece, Bruce. At 9 inches and 13 pounds with those molded cherub details, that reads like cast marble (sometimes called cultured marble) rather than carved stone to me. A lot of these Italian style planter and caddy pieces were made as home decor mid century, and the felt on the bottom is doing the usual job of hiding whatever label or stamp the maker put on it, so carefully peeling back a corner is worth a try before you go any further.

One scrapping note since that is my corner of the forum: stone is stone, so a yard will not pay a cent for it. The value is decorative. If it is crack free and cleans up well, pieces like that do move on local resale as home decor.

Welcome aboard, by the way. Your photos are clear enough to see the casting detail, which helps a lot.
