Be careful with both around water. I don't know about the Whites, but the F5 is going to give you more information and better command of the ground. I'm not a big fan of auto tracking. Any unit I had with it would give a false positive here and there. I like to push the button to GB, and let the screen tell me if I need to just push the button again or turn the knob at the time I feel it's appropriate.
