This is the question being asked by Earth Speaks, a research project that explores a critical question in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI).
usually this question has been held and kicked around in academic circles and not posed to the 'average' earthling. But now, you have a chance to submit your own greeting at:

I got a kick out of some of the suggestions.
I wonder if a greeting would be lost on an ET?
