Ike instead of halves

I went to bank where I was told the teller had some halves in her vault. she said she had $120 in halves. I bought all of them and she hands me 5 tubes with screw on caps all with Ike's.
71 73 and 76.....so now I have $120 of Ike's....is there any value and are the silver ones hard to spot.....lastly what years and mint marks are silver?? Thanks for help

Yes. Sometimes, even in bad shape you can make a profit on them because they were NIFCs. My LCS sells those that are in bad shape for $3 a pop. Better shape ones for about $7-$12 a piece. Just depends on what your LCS wants to do. You could definitely make a profit on eBay with them too, if the LCS strikes out with you.

At the very least, you got some nice tubes for free, I'd say

If you can get them theres no loss to weigh and see if they are silver or clads. Silver ones were collectible only so they were never circulation like silver halves were so quite rare. Either way you cant get the volume you can with Halves.

You can sell all the Ikes on Craig's list or eBay for some profit.

One time they told me it wasn't silver and the next time I tried to buy something with it, they gave it back to be saying to keep it, that it was silver. Very odd. its a 1776-1976 bicentanial with a silver edge.

A plated one would be just like a silver plated half, PMD. The other one is a 40% silver NIFC Ike.

Only proof and uncirculated Ikes are 40% silver. All regular circulation Ikes are copper clad. It would be unlikely to find a silver Ike in circulated coins but it could happen.
