He might actually recover something there,the lake the campsites are situated around is a very old swimming hole....


Oh sweet - I didn't know it was the old swimmin pool. I'll do a backstroke after digging up the silver! I will of course have to scan the soil under my tent first so I don't lay it down over any sharp metal objects...

It's getting closer, and I'm getting more and more excited as the day gets closer!!! I've been detecting a lot more than I usually do so I can handle all the detecting we're gonna be doing for 2-3 days!!! LOL!!! I feel like Rocky Balboa when he was training to fight the Russian LOL!!! I've got the "Eye of the Tiger" for silver!!!

I have been trying to hunt as much as I can also...it has just been to dang wet,few days ago I almost lost a shoe,so I have been on hiatus....I did make it out yesterday with scrounger d,he is passing through on his way from florida back up north...not much found,sides to an old fishing reel and Mark found half of a really interesting copper butterfly......will be hitting it again today after work...It is a really nice day here in SE IL

I am ready to dig folks....

Okay, here's an update on things from my end. Goldinwater and I have our room reserved at The Holiday. we will be leaving here very early Friday morning, Probably around 5:00am-6:00am it's going to take us around two hours to get there. I figure we'll need an hour to unload our gear and stretch our legs, so we should be ready to go by 10:00am Friday morning.

Okay, here's an update on things from my end. in case someone wants a mid level accomodation choice,

i am staying at the travelers inn.

i stayed there last weekend and it was ok.

a LOT cheaper than the super 8.

thanks for being willing to haul me and my baggage soup.

not sure if this means the LEATHER seat in the new

mitsubishi wonder truck or the AIR seat in the pickup.

hopefully the wonder truck. my etrac doesnt like cold .

On another front.....
Looks as though I will be sporting a new Etrac for the April hunt,called today on repair time on mine and it looks a little to close for comfort.....Ron at windy city had one in stock,so I just ordered another,it ships out tomorrow
I like the old SE,but is not same...Everyone bring your A game,Soup will be set to hunt...

usually not much room in my trunk.

with all the beach detecting and babes down there

it is hard to leave. oh well next year.

now i got this gung ho bunch to meet n hunt

with it will ease the pain of temporarily losing my palm

trees and other tropical foiliage that i love so much.
