Yes!!! I finally convinced my wife to put a few bottles up. Never thought it would happen.

That was very nice of her ; tell her I said thanks as well

you are an inspiration, I have a 5 ft section of tree with civil war bullets in it which I would like to move into the house.............

That's a cool way to display your bottles, digging privies and dumps for bottles is awesome, we're digging this weekend!anyways great display HH.

Thanks everyone! Detroitdigger, I would love to see what you come up with this weekend. HH

Hey man I know this one! For years my wife kept sayin my wildlife mounts were "dust collectors", I tried to keep them dust free and in the rite place. I have been collecting artifacts since I was a kid - been married 30 years now and she still finds "rocks in my pockets" pottery, arrowheads, etc. The house wouldnt be the same without dads treasures, Saturday washing wouldnt be the same without those rattling noises in the dryer! I built a lighted cabinet which displays my finds, even switch according to my liking. She never says a word in fact now she even says-When did you find that? With time and love she will appreciate your historical values over the rest of the decor, she will even brag time to time on your playing in the dirt! She now visits the relic and historical shows with me "she dont play in the dirt" thats cool with me....:laughing7:

convinced her? sheesh. be a man and tell her how it's gonna be!

Jeff I'm gonna guess you have never met a southern girl from Oklahoma with Cherokee blood. It's best not to try and tell her how it is lol.

Looks good!!!

Look tasteful. My wife got sick of me placing my "junk" in random places so she bought me a nice old china cabinet for my b day I put lights in it and now she is finally happy. Check out my pics on my profile

Wow! I just looked at your pics. That display is awesome but I'm more impressed with the finds. Some very nice relics there. I can only hope my collection will be that good one day. HH

Well thank you I've been at awhile. And my wife picks on me about it because I rearrange it so much

Lol if have to get in there and touch those all the time also.

I like your display. My wife has let me have some of mine in the kitchen, and she uses old fruit jars for a canister set. bottles1.webp Not trying to highjack your post, but you might get an idea of another place to display glass treasures. Bottles2.webp These three are on the window sill behind the sink, the only ones I have with labels remaining. Bottles3.webp These are on the counter. The purple bottle on the left is from the Owl Drug co., the next one is a fake repo, then an old milk bottle, and next to it an even older cream top milk bottle with the spoon to dip the cream, and the last one is modern.

No I am glad that other people are posting theirs as well. I'm always happy to see pics of how people are displaying their stuff. You have some nice looking glass there. HH

Sometimes you just have to put your foot down and stand up and be a man, and say "Honey can I please?"
