I'm confused on my at gold...

So bought an at gold detector. This piece shown in much is it just an extra for headphones? If so how the hell do I get it off because I have headphones that hook right up to the side of detector and this piece just hangs there in the way....

My guess would be someone was using a camera while hunting and wanted to have the beeps be included on the video even though he was wearing headphones.

If it was added, and most likely was, it can be removed. May be a selling point if you ever decide to get a good detector :laughing7: just kidding.

Can't tell from pic, but it may be a universal headphone adapter?
If so, leave it. Good thing to have on AT machines.
Peace ✌

K. Thanks it's just aggravating g because I don't use it and it just hangs there in my way.

Did you buy the detector new ? if so visit/call the dealer and ask him /her . If this was a Kellyco purchase , give them a call - I hear
they are good with customer service . Garrett's has a good reputation for service as well .

Appears to be well installed. Tape it outta the way. If wanted in the future, you can use any land headphones.

Peace ✌

Hello,

I believe it to be the Garrett 1/4" adapter cable so you can use non Garrett headphones. I have three of them for my Garrett products and are very useful when switching between Grey Ghost NDT and Killer Bee head sets or any other 1/4" headphone manufacturer.

Regards,

1/4" adaptor from Garrett. That thing is not cheap .If you want to use any other headphone you need that. I used that and a 1/8" adaptor into that for my wireless setup.
