Im going to the beach to metal detect should i update my Minelab Equinox 800 to 2.0 or 3.0 or leave it alone whats my best option here

im going to the beach to metal detect for a couple of days im new to the equinox 800 should i upgrade and update to 2.0 or 3.0 or leave it as it is what do you think does it make it any better or worse i need help here people give me your advice.

I've upgraded each time one was available. Each one improved overall performance, so, I recommend you install the latest version. If you don't like it, you can always go back to a previous one.

I have the new updates. But when at the beach, I like the original FE. Not sure for beach hunting you will see much difference in the last two updates.

Read your manual for wet sand beach hunting. I only hunt with a Excalibur myself.

It will require a device that accepts USB connections. One simply takes the charge cable and plug it into a computer.

Once connected, if not prompted, go to the minelab website and download the update program.
