I'm not shaving until I find a Mercury Dime!

This is my first summer of metal detecting.I've found silver quarters,old nickels,wheaties but not a Mercury dime.I've been concentrating on old ballfields and old schools.It's only a matter of time.I dug a 1953 Rosie at an honest 10" today with my CZ3D.That's the deepest I've ever found a coin.Summer is going fast so I better get busy,otherwise I'll look like the lead guitar player for ZZ Top.

shoot... if i made a statement like that the zoo would be loking for a sasquatch in my house!

i have found a total of 3 silver coins in all the years of MD'ing. Miami just aint with the program wen it comes to silver.

I'm on a 6 day stretch of 12 hour graveyard shifts then I have 8 days off to hunt.I found a couple of old schools,one was built in 1904 and the other one in 1906.My whiskers are getting real gnarly looking.

My other half will be gone by the end of the week.My divorce is final sometime is week.At age 57 her"momma" has talked her into coming home.Anybody want to buy a farm,cheap?

I keep finding 1 to 3 silver dimes atrip all Rosies,no Mercury dime yet.My whiskers are long enough that they don't itch anymore.

Sounds to me like you need to hunt places with history going back before 1946.

That's when the first Rosie was minted,

The Winged Liberty Head Dimes were minted from 16 to 45.

Didn't find a Merc. today but I did find my first Indian Head penny,1882.

How old is that farm? I didnt know you were allowed to get divorced at 57? I thought if you were married past 40 you were stuck with them for life?

You are hunting the right spots if you are finding Silver Rosies.

Also congratulations on the IH. If you find a Barber dime can you shave?

If I find a Barber dime I'll shave.The farm is 103 years old.In Montana your allowed to get divorced after 50.I don't recommend the 28 year old girlfriend thing though.That can really put a damper on your hunting.

Great news!!! My girlfriend is moving and I found a 1918 Walking Liberty Half dollar in real good shape.I also found a 1946 and 1953 Rosie,1939 and 1962 Jefferson nickel,Wheaties 1918-plain,1920-d,1928-s,1946 plain and a 1950-d.I also found 3 copper Lincolns.The CZ 70 was just humming.Bill
