The problem with reading comments on any forum, in a chatroom, or anyplace where the conversation is typed words on a screen is that you don't "hear" the intention of the person typing. It's very easy to missunderstand. There will be times when someone types something that's completely harmless and intended as a joke and it gets taken the wrong way and there are hurt feelings. For example I commented on your other post about the British using muskets in the War of 1812 and the US having M-16s.... Naturally someone came along and took that comment seriously and felt the need to "correct" me all because they didn't see the "smile" on my face as I typed it or the wink.... I like to think of this place as being the same as sitting around a picnic table & talking with friends who share the same hobby. If you look at it that way you'll be less likely to missunderstand someones comments. Have a great day and happy hunting. If you're onto a site where there was action during the War of 1812 get back out there and find some old stuff. It's there but probably a bit deeper in the ground. And pay no attention to the "spelling police" They are usually the types who have the need to feel like they're better than everyone else. We have a couple here who thankfully stay mostly in some of the more specialized sections of the website who's sole purpose for waking up in the morning seems to be to come here and start fights with other members...
