I'm tempted to call it a year.

I haven't been keeping up with my duty lately.
I've been told that many get on here to read/dream
about getting out, walking, finding. This time of year
tends to put an end to all that due to cold.

I've been pretty blessed these last few years during the
winters. In that they've been relatively mild and I've
been able to get out and make posts for your
entertainment.

On top of all that, I have been blessed enough to at
least find a few interesting things almost every time
out.

Anyway, today was another nice day and I consider the
walk a complete success due to number and diversity of
finds. I'll let you be the judge:

First of all, I was walking through one of my favorite
clad-farms today. I always run the AT with the Iron-Audio
turned on and there's a lot of iron in this ground. I
have been over this ground many times so today I was
concentrating on fairly new "high-squeak" signals. But,
the constant grunting of the iron-audio was getting to me.

I said, out loud, "C'mon AT!!! Stop farting in my ear and
*FIND* me a good signal!!!" LOL

I didn't get but one step!




I wish somebody had told me earlier that, that was all I
needed to do!! LOL

After I got done laughing at that and repairing the plug.
I started to swing and got about a half of an arc.




Now, I ask you! How's *that* for service!?!?!

Some old stuff. The thing on the left is solid,
non-magnetic, not lead/aluminum with some sort of
pin hole. Looks like part of something old.





How many times have you found one just one year too late?
A question: Is it just me, or does the mint mark look a
little strange?



Blingie's happy but I'm thinking that he wishes I would
stop hunting and waking him up!

I can think of lots worse hunts to end a year on. Going
out with a ring, a silver Roosie, etc. is very tempting.
We'll see what Santa brings.

Dang Whadi, That sterling ring is superb, and congrats on the silver dime too. I am intrigued by the brass/copper "tooth" thingie. PS: This coin is known as a "Nob" which is an abbreviation of a "Nickel Cob." I just made that up...

Darn nice collection of cool old relics and some silver too. That's a really sweet Sterling ring. Looks like the coin beneath the silver Rosie might be a V Nickel? A pair of musket ball. old brass horse tack ring, flat button, etc. Very nice hunt and one to end the season on if you decide to. Loved the post buddy.

is a clad-farm, it's where something new is built on
an old place, like a farm. The other is a clad "factory",
which just keeps being filled. Thanks!

was an old farm and not completely surprising to be
there. What is surprising though, is that this place has
been hit 9 ways from Sunday! I know! I was one of the
ones who's been doing the hitting! Just never know!

Whadi, I would call the raised pattern a fresco or High-relief style, but maybe Jewelryguy can correct me. LOL on your half disme... The "Tooth" could also be a coat button of a strange, rustic design... Sub

You are blessed to be able to dig still. We had ice coating on everything this morning. I doubt our ground is diggable at this point, with out a back hoe.
