On Sunday, two days ago, sorry for late, sorry for lazy, just busy, and for other reasons didn't feel good about the hunt, not worth posting...
Yeah (Abe) spoiled.
But not skunked, so...

OK, the short story, started at 9, put in maybe 5 hours, got permission on a new site that was HUGE, there was one iron patch on it, but I feel it was newer than we were interested in...honestly can't be sure of that with such a short visit.

In the end, ended up with 4 buttons, one has original thread in it, 3 coins, 1 IDable, and best find of the day for me was a scrap of Silver cutlery, with engraved initials, looks like MRW. about 5.5 grams. OOOH so made a buck an hour. Good day detecting...right ?

PS. a great day is coming soon to a hunt near me.

Nice silver, looks pretty old. After seeing those finds it looks worth hitting that area again.

Normally the configuration of 3 initials is 1 over 2, but I think I can confidently say the standard is probably the same;

W = Family name/Last Name
M = Man's First Name
R = Women's First Name

Rick, You are due my man! So am I for that matter :laughing7:

Rick, looks like you found a spot where the treasure was not. But alas, you're on site closer to it!

Keep at it, I know you'll score big soon
