Mom and I decided we couldn't pass the weather up today and got out to our special field. Arty had to work but got out yesterday and did awesome too. The field wasn't as wet and mushy and the signals popped out everywhere. We started at what we call the 1600s side and pulled a few buttons and knick knacks. I found a nice matron head Large cent and a V nickle on that field. We move over to our larger field that produced over 100 buttons between the 3 of us last sunday. Today was no different. Everywhere on this field somebody lost something somewhere. We just gridded our way around all the button signals having a blast. It was my turn to kick moms butt, after all she did pull a few capped bust silver last time and needed the brakes to be applied. So I took the reigns and pulled a total of 5 coppers out(My all time highest for one hunt) A presidential token of some sort. A 1/4 of a george or LC. 44 Buttons all different styles and ages, no military this time but mom did get another 1812 navy. A real nice 1772 holed and face scratched 1/2 Real , watch key winders and a ton of lead scraps. It was my personal best day for buttons and coins combined. Its amazing what can come out of a virgin field. Not everywhere is hunted out, you just have to do the leg work and find that dream field.
I also found a silver thimble torn to shreads and a very neat button that says "The FreeLand" and a pic of the US on the front.
