Incredible!

Well I went out this morning with my new mask and snorkel. I wanted to try using it for the first time. It was INCREDIBLE! I LOVED IT! I saw a school of tiny fish and even saw a crab. Glad I always wear water shoes. I had such a good time and my total for today was 1 quarter, 1 penny, 2 pull tabs and a hair band with metal on it. I don't care - I HAD A GREAT MORNING. I hope your morning turned out half as well.

I knew you would enjoy it. If you work or want to work in some rocky areas you may find that eyeball detection is also fun. I really think its a good work out at the same time I could work all day long that way. Best to you, Mike.

WAY TO GO Mumszie. Whole new world under there! Should be able to do some eyeball finds also. Next purchase would be fins and an inflatable vest then on "restricted" or crowded beaches, leave the detector in the car and do the eyeball search while you enjoy the sights........

I've got fins too but have not used them (yet). I had a real problem trying to stay in one place and also (now don't laugh) keeping my behind down. The durn back end kept wanting to float up! ::)

Yeah I am a diver also nothing like it! Sometimes I enjoy snorkeling more then diving since I can do it all day and it's easy.
Plan on getting me an underwater detector soon to open up a new avenue to hunt.

yeh i had to ware 20# of weight to stay down if i wore my wet suit. cant do it here,the water is not clear...too much fine grey sand.

rofl me too...unfortunately I have a floating back end AND a floating front end....can only imagine what that would be like out there!

I used a weight belt with 12 lbs on it while snorkeling and MDing. You may need less or more if you start wearing a wet suit. I found that it helped me stay where I wanted to stay. Also in the deeper water I could dive down and recover the target easier with the weights on. Best to all, Mike.

I'm glad to see you did it. You have now opened up another world.

I can't wait to get back into the water. I'm trying the snorkeling thing next time.

There are some places I know where there are targets but the only way to get to them is through scuba....

Mumsie, I only have two words for you: Florida Keys. You may not want to detect, as they specialize in big rocks. But you must go just to visit with the pretty fishies. Enquire at any of the local dive shops about the best places.

Funny I lived in South Florida for many years and my husband and his brother and brother's in law used to go scuba diving at John Pennycamp park but I never went. I could just kick myself for not doing this when I was young. Sheesh..... You young gng's out there - DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOUR ARE IN YOUR 60'S to start experiencing these great things!

Enjoy life while you can to the fullest possible.

These new things that you are trying out are wonderful experiences. The underwater world is marvelous.
