Independance Day

[oldgoat]

On March 2, 1836, Texas declared independance from the Mexican government...Nine years later in 1845, Texas became the greatest state in the Union...I might be prejudiced, tho...lol.
Happy Independance Day, y'all...

Happy Independence Day Ya'll!

[texian1832]

Happy Indepenence Day All from a 5th generation Texian whose G-Great Grandfather fought in all the major battles (including the 1st skirmish at the Alamo)for this great honor. May we never forget that a little rag-tag army of common folks could defeat a mighty and over-whelming force by determination, alittle luck, carefully understanding of the terrain and the opposing forces arrogance and underestimation of their opponents. Long Live Texas and her Spirit!!
