Bout 30 years ago my brother and I were in my grandmas basement wich was just a dirt basement and out of the dirt walls we pulled out two beautiful shape Indian hammerhead stones , I still have them to this day , they are fairly large and heavy , was wondering if they are worth anything ? Or anyways to trace back to whom would have used them? I will post pix soon

Also would it be possible to trace back to the Native American tribe that used it?

Hey sh, very nice. Been thru Yorkton quite a few times driving across Canada. My guess would be that it belonged to a Cree Native. They dwelled from Alberta Rocky Mtn's to Manitoba.
But also as jamey says, possible Blackfoot. They dwelled in the southern parts of Alberta & Sask.

Thanx TJE!! Just wondering what to do with it?

(preshistoric) SasquatchChewOn: Taltheilei Tradition c. 500 BC and Shield Archaic Tradition c 4000 BC[SUP]
If it's historic there are plenty of resources to find the tribes of the area[/SUP]

Well if it was part of my Herratage I might do so . But iam not Native American so it may mean more to someone who is ,

You can see if a Museum in your area would like to have it. Sometimes you can donate it and get a tax write off for your taxes. Make sure all of the paperwork is in order before you let them have it or otherwise it could be a long time before it gets settled.
